There are four tiers. Free is 0 dollars with 10 minutes of lifetime generation, no downloads and no commercial rights. Creator is 29 dollars a month, or 19 dollars on annual billing, giving 24 hours of generation a year, the full 200-plus voice library and commercial rights. Business is 99 dollars a month, or 66 dollars annually, adding team collaboration, more capacity and priority support. Enterprise is custom-priced and adds voice cloning, full API access and unlimited generation. Annual billing saves roughly a third.

How does Murf measure usage?

By Voice Generation Time, the actual audio duration of the speech you produce, not the length of your script. Tweaking pitch, speed or emphasis on text you have already generated costs nothing extra — you are only charged when you generate new audio. Unused time does not roll over; it is forfeited at the end of the billing period. When you hit your cap, generation stops rather than charging overage fees, which protects your budget but can interrupt a project mid-flow.

Is it true that annual billing gives fewer hours than monthly?

On the Business plan, yes, and it is the most counter-intuitive thing about Murf's pricing. Business on annual billing provides 96 hours of generation a year, while Business on monthly billing provides 20 hours a month — which is 240 hours a year. So if your priority is raw generation capacity rather than the lower price, monthly billing on Business actually gives you two and a half times more. Choose annual for the cheaper rate, monthly if you need the volume.

Does Murf AI include voice cloning?

Not on the self-serve plans. Voice cloning — building a custom AI voice from recordings of a real person — is available only on Enterprise, negotiated with sales. Creator and Business give you the 200-plus stock voices but no path to a branded custom voice. If a cloned brand voice is essential, budget for an Enterprise contract rather than expecting it at the 99-dollar tier.
