How much does Tidio cost?

There is a free plan, then Starter at around 29 dollars a month and Growth at around 59 dollars, both billed on conversation volume rather than seats. After Growth, the next tier is Plus, which starts at roughly 749 dollars a month, with a Premium tier above that quoted around 2,999 dollars. Annual billing saves about 17%. The important caveat is that these base prices usually are not your real bill, because AI and automation are charged separately.

Is Lyro AI included in the price?

Not really, and this is the most common surprise. On the Free and Starter plans you get a one-time allocation of 50 Lyro AI conversations — a total, not a monthly refill. How does conversation-based billing work?

Tidio charges by billable conversations rather than per agent seat. A billable conversation is a unique visitor your team interacts with in a set period, regardless of how many messages are exchanged. This keeps costs low when volume is low, but it also means your bill rises with traffic, and you are effectively tracking three separate meters at once: conversations, Lyro AI conversations and Flow triggers. Watch all three, because exceeding any one pushes you toward an upgrade.

Can Lyro AI be used on its own?

Yes. If you already run another help desk or have no live agents, you do not need a Starter, Growth or Plus subscription — Lyro can run as a standalone AI, with pricing based on AI conversations. That makes Tidio worth considering purely as an AI answer layer on top of an existing support stack, separate from its live-chat plans. If you only want AI deflection and not a full chat suite, this is often the cheaper route.

Small to mid-sized e-commerce stores and support teams that want live chat, chatbots and AI in one clean tool, and whose team stays under ten agents.
