Best for: Infographic & Presentation
Last updated: July 26, 2026
Visme is the design tool for people whose work involves data, not just pretty graphics: presentations, infographics, reports, documents, video and interactive content in one browser editor, with charting and data visualisation that general design tools handle poorly. Non-designers pick it up fast, and the free plan is genuinely permanent. Two things to know before you buy: the free tier's watermark rules it out for client work, and monthly billing costs about 2.4× the annual rate — an unusually wide gap worth planning around.

Free – $59/user/mo
Four tiers. Basic is free forever. Starter is $12.25/user/mo billed annually (~$147/yr) or $29 monthly. Pro is $24.75/user/mo annually (~$297/yr) or $59 monthly. Enterprise is custom, typically from ~10 users. The annual-versus-monthly gap is unusually wide here, so your billing cycle matters more than at most tools.
Visme's annual discount is steeper than most. Starter is $12.25/mo annually but $29 month-to-month — roughly 2.4× — and Pro is $24.75 vs $59. Over a year: ~$348 vs $147 on Starter, a $200 difference for the same product (Pro saves ~$411). If you're confident Visme fits, annual is one of the biggest savings in this category. Use the free plan first to be sure.
For learning and personal use, yes — it's permanent, not an expiring trial. For client or commercial work, no: exports carry the Visme watermark. Reports differ on how restricted free downloads are — some describe watermarked JPG/PNG/PDF exports, others say free is limited to public link sharing — so check current terms at signup. Either way, removing the watermark requires Starter.
AI runs on a monthly credit allowance that resets each cycle, powering AI slide design, AI writing and image generation. Basic ~10 credits, Starter 200, Pro 500. For context, Pro's 500 supports roughly 250 AI-generated designs a month (~8 per business day); Starter's 200 supports about 100. Fine for occasional use — but if AI generation is central to your workflow, size your plan around credits, not the feature list.
Starter if you're solo and mainly need watermark-free presentations and documents in standard formats. Pro is where most serious users land — it unlocks what makes Visme differentiated: HTML5 and interactive exports, video and GIF, the brand kit, content analytics, full AI, 10GB storage and team workflows. Enterprise adds SSO, a dedicated success manager and 25GB per user, from about 10 users up.
They overlap but lean differently. Canva has a larger template and asset library, a bigger ecosystem and a slightly cheaper entry, and is stronger for general social and marketing graphics. Visme is stronger for data-heavy business content — charts, infographics, reports, interactive presentations — with analytics and brand controls suited to client-facing material. Mostly social graphics? Canva. Presentations, reports and data visualisation? Visme.
